The football club is a GOLD Accredited club. This is a fantastic achievement for all at the club. We are one of a handful of clubs to achieve this in Wales and sets us apart from the other clubs in the area. The off the pitch criteria includes club management, workforce, policies and procedures and insurance whilst clubs must also attain high standards in equipment and facilities and player and coach development.
The award demonstrates the progress the club has made over the past few years and underlines the club’s status as one of the most qualified clubs in South Wales, offering an inclusive and structured pathway for football development.
As a junior club we provide football for boys and girls from the ages of 5 through to under 16.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we play the game the right way, the Welsh Way and coach all our players with this in mind. We work closely with the Welsh Football Trust to ensure that this is the case.
All our coaches are qualified with either FAW or UEFA standard qualifications. Every team has a first aider and coaches and volunteers have up to date DBS.
We are a community based club with high expectations. As a not for profit organisation all funds are put directly back into the club to ensure the standards are the best for all our players and coaches and the kit and equipment that they use.
From 2022 the club will be running two Girls teams, an U10s and an U12s. These will officially be known as The Rebels.
The girls will play in the newly formed Gwent County Girls League and gives our players to experience competitive football.
The club is an official HUDDLE provider. The HUDDLE is a fun programme of games and activities created for girls aged between 4-11 years old and is held in a safe and confidence giving environment.
HUDDLE is a place to have fun and make friends and enjoy the positive health and social benefits football can encourage.

Mini & Junior Football
Providing a pathway for Mini & Junior players
We provide football for players from the age of 5 through to under 16s. Our Mini kickers (U5 and U6) train on a sat morning and play occasional matches organised by the league.
Our Mini age groups (U7 through to U11) train once a week and play either round robin tournament style matches on Sunday mornings or home and away fixtures as dictated by the Islwyn League.
All our Junior teams (U12 - U16) are taught how to train correctly and are prepared for competitive football. We have good relationships with the academies in the area and actively encourage our players to progress.
